2009-2010 Classes

(4 yr old through High School)

  • 4 yr old thru 6th grade sessions meet Sunday mornings 9:00 – 10:15 am.  The registration fee is $50 per child, two children $80 and 3 or more children $120.  We support the parents as the primary educators of their children by offering programs to nourish children on their journey of faith and to foster a community of Christian friendship and love.  Volunteer catechists from our community lead the children in prayer, song, learning of scripture and doctrine and craft activities.

  • Children’s Liturgy of the Word for children in grades K- 4 meets twice a month during 10:30 am Mass.    Children's Liturgy of the Word helps children to fully understand and worship during our Eucharistic celebrations.  Your children have the opportunity to hear the scriptures explained to them at their level, to ask questions and to offer their own prayers and intercessions.

  • Sacramental Preparation
  • Baptism classes   Baptism makes explicit what God wants for each of us:  to belong to God's family.  Baptism is an early celebration along our lifelong journey of faith.  To prepare for Baptism is to make a commitment to deepen our faith throughout our lives. Call the Parish Office at 926-7133 for complete information or to register for classes.

  • RCIC is a preparation series for children and youth who are not yet baptized or not yet confirmed.  The series will help participants deepen their understanding of our faith, assist in developing a spirituality of life and prayer, and integrate participants into our parish.     Please call the parish office.

  • Confirmation/1st Eucharist The preparation series will explain a contemporary approach to Confirmation/First Eucharist for parents, and have sessions for children and parents to help deepen each candidate's understanding of the sacraments.  Confirmation/1st Eucharist celebrates the fullness of each candidate's initiation into our Catholic Christian community of faith.   Please contact the parish office for the Parish and Diocesan sacramental policies.
Preparation for this Sacrament usually begins in January.

  • Reconciliation is a beautiful way in which we celebrate God's forgiving love for each of us and our reconciliation with our community of faith.  We may (and do!) sin...  yet God always welcomes us back wholeheartedly.   Preparation is open to anyone who has reached the age of reason.  Preparation for this Sacrament usually begins in Fall.

  • More
  • RCIA is designed for non-Catholics who have questions about what it means to be Roman Catholic.  Each fall we continue with sessions for persons who have questions about the Catholic faith.  Inquirers ask questions about our worship, traditions, structure and beliefs.  Some people come to this class only to gain more understanding of the Catholic religion. Others come with the intention of becoming a member of the Church.  It is important to us that people feel free to attend whether they decide to become Catholic or not.  If you are interested , please contact Teresa McCann at the parish office. RCIA will meet Thursday evenings, 7-8:30 pm in the parish hall.

  • Hour of Faith meets on Sundays from 9:20 - 10:10 in the church.   Here, adults gather in a faith group to continue the faith formation that they were called to when confirmed.  We proclaim God's word in scripture, offer songs of praise, pray petitions, and share with one another from our own faith experiences.

  • Vacation Bible School All children 4 1/2 yrs old  - 6th grade are invited, plus older as youth helpers.  If you would like to help with teaching or assisting, crafts, music, skits, nursery care or donations, please don't wait to be asked!!  Call (or Email) Teresa at the parish office or call Gina at 255-5577.
