We have classes Sunday mornings from 9am to 10:15am between our two morning masses for grades Preschool through 8th/9th grade. This includes Sacramental Prep classes for children preparing to receive the sacraments of Penance, First Eucharist and Confirmation.

What is it? Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a unique approach to the religious education of young children. Located in our parish classroom, the Atrium is a specially prepared, quiet place where the child may live out the desire "to come closer to God by myself." Following the methods of Dr. Maria Montessori in the 1950s in Rome, trained catechists will use a hands-on approach to help children joyfully discover Jesus, the Good Shepherd.

Every 1st and 3rd Sunday fo the month, during the 10:30a.m. mass we offer Children's Liturgy of The Word. Children hear the Gospel proclaimed in their own Liturgy of The Word based on that Sunday's readings and Prayers of The Faithful.  Children gather before the Liturgy of the Word begins in mass, receive a blessing and proceed into the chapel adjacent to the Sanctuary with an instructor and return before the Liturgy of The Eucharist.  Contact [email protected] or call 509-926-7133 for more information.
